Today, I’m working on a batch of orchestral BGM tracks
that could potentially be used for TV and similar media.

Currently, I’m producing 15 tracks in parallel.

For this kind of work, instead of focusing on one track at a time,

👉 I find it more efficient to build multiple tracks
with a consistent direction and workflow.

Why I Work on Them in Batches

Orchestral BGM often shares similar elements such as:

  • Instrumentation (strings, brass, percussion, etc.)
  • Overall balance
  • Spatial processing

Because of this, starting from scratch for each track isn’t always efficient.
Working within the same flow helps maintain both speed and consistency.

That said,

with a large number of instruments and detailed expression control,
each track still takes a fair amount of time to complete.

Approach for TV-Oriented Music

For this type of usage, I keep a few things in mind:

  • Communicate the mood quickly
  • Support the visuals without overpowering them
  • Keep it flexible enough to fit various scenes

In other words,
music that enhances the scene without becoming the main focus.

I’ll keep pushing forward and make more progress today 👍
